Q. How do I schedule a private/semi-private swim lesson?

A. Email our swim coordinator at swimlessons@questfitnessmaine.com to establish a booking time and day. A swim lesson package must be purchased before we can schedule swim lessons with an instructor.

Q. Which locker room should my child use?

A. No opposite sex children above 4 years old in locker rooms (example no boys over 4 in ladies locker room) - we do provide a family changing room on poolside.

Q. What are the behavioral expectations for my child?

A. Your child is expected to listen to their swim instructor and follow directions. We understand that some children are nervous around the water, but it is expected that they will participate in lessons. We appreciate you supporting our instructors in asking for acceptable behavior.

Q. What do I do if I can't make it to a scheduled lesson?

A. You should first call Quest Fitness and let them know that you won't be able to make it. You should also follow up with the instructor that you work directly with to let them knowand to reschedule. If your child isn't feeling well, our instructors appreciate being in the loop. We reserve the right to charge you for the missed lesson if we are given less than 12 hours' notice.

Q. Can I bring snacks and drinks into the pool area?

A. We do not permit snacks on poolside but drinks in a closed, NON-GLASS container are allowed.

Q. Can children use the sauna in the locker rooms?

A. The Sauna is an adult facility only.

Q. What should I bring with my child to lessons?

A. You should bring a swimsuit, towel, water bottle and goggles. There is a family changing room on the pool deck if needed. Swim caps and goggles and water are available for purchase at the front desk if needed. Swim aids such as Noodles, kickboards, and bubbles will be provided.

Q. Can more than two kids participate in a semi-private lesson?

A. No. There can only be a maximum of two children per instructor.

Q. Can I get in the pool with my child?

A. We offer water babies and parent/child group swim lessons for children under age 3. An adult/parent is required to be in the water with each swimmer for these groups. We recommended that you participate in these classes if your child is under 3 years of age. If you do want private or semi-private lessons for young children who may be nervous, we require that a parent be available to be in the water with the child, but it is not mandatory

Q. Am I allowed to leave the building while my child is taking swim lessons?

A. No. There must be a parent or guardian in the building while your child is in the pool.

Q. What happens if I purchase semi-private lessons but only one of the children can attend on a certain day?

A. We reserve the right to deduct a session from both children's semi-private packages even if one is unable to attend. You can, however, purchase a single private lesson to cover that one lesson. But if there are no other lessons on the child's account except the semiprivate ones we will deduct a lesson from both children's semi-private lesson packages.
